Why this piece

The brass, and the bench it came off.

This minimal Hexagon Brass and Marble Kitchen Roll Holder is the perfect storage solution for your kitchen roll. Constructed from an hexagonal shaped brass pole with a matte finish and an elegant hexagon shaped natural marble base. This minimalist, freestanding and practical design features a heavy marble base to keep it from falling over when tearing sheets off the roll. It has a classic and timeless design that suits a wide range of kitchen decors.

The kitchen roll holder is handcrafted in Europe by a talented group of artisans who pay utmost attention to every detail. Please note that as this is a natural stone product (marble) colours and patterns on the marble base may vary from the images. To clean it simply wipe with a damp cloth.

Where it is made

Lower Silesia. Small-batch brass.

The brass pieces are made in Lower Silesia, Poland, in small batches, by people who work the metal by hand. Brass is a living material — it arrives bright and warms to a deeper tone as it's used and handled. We finish it lightly so that patina is allowed to happen.

Each piece is weighted to sit and stay put. The intent is the same as the rest of what we make: an everyday object, made properly, meant to be kept rather than replaced.

Care, briefly

Brass likes to be left alone.

01.

Let it patina.

Brass darkens as it ages — that’s the material doing what it does. If you like the aged tone, do nothing; it gets better with handling.

02.

Polish only if you want it bright.

To bring back the shine, a little brass polish or a paste of lemon and bicarbonate, then a soft cloth. Wipe dry afterwards.

03.

Keep it dry.

Wipe off standing water so it doesn’t spot. A barely-damp cloth and an occasional dry buff is all it needs.

What you receive

In the box.

  • The brass piece you chose, finished and ready to use.
  • A care card on letting brass patina, and how to bring the shine back if you prefer it bright.

Frequently asked.

Will the brass tarnish?
It will darken and develop a patina — that's normal for solid brass and many people prefer it. If you'd rather keep it bright, a quick polish brings the shine back.
How do I clean it?
A barely-damp cloth for everyday. To re-brighten, use brass polish or a lemon-and-bicarbonate paste, then buff dry with a soft cloth.
Is it solid brass?
Yes. These are solid, weighted pieces, not plated — which is why they patina honestly and last.
How long does shipping take?
UK orders usually arrive within 2–3 working days, EU and US within 5–9. We ship from our warehouse in Europe.
