Where it is made
Lower Silesia. Small-batch brass.
The brass pieces are made in Lower Silesia, Poland, in small batches, by people who work the metal by hand. Brass is a living material — it arrives bright and warms to a deeper tone as it's used and handled. We finish it lightly so that patina is allowed to happen.
Each piece is weighted to sit and stay put. The intent is the same as the rest of what we make: an everyday object, made properly, meant to be kept rather than replaced.

Let it patina.
Brass darkens as it ages — that's the material doing what it does. If you like the aged tone, do nothing; it gets better with handling.

Polish only if you want it bright.
To bring back the shine, a little brass polish or a paste of lemon and bicarbonate, then a soft cloth. Wipe dry afterwards.

Keep it dry.
Wipe off standing water so it doesn't spot. A barely-damp cloth and an occasional dry buff is all it needs.

The chopsticks are elegant and well-balanced.
These brass chopsticks are a beautiful addition to my table setting, though they took some getting used to. The weight is substantial but well-balanced, and the brass develops a lovely patina over time. The included rest is elegantly designed and keeps the chopsticks from rolling. While they’re more slippery than traditional wooden chopsticks, they become easier to handle with practice. The craftsmanship is excellent, though I found them a bit heavy for extended use during longer meals.
